What tastes better then from the store? When it comes from your very own garden. This year I decided to take another shot at growing Zucchinis. I haven’t grown anything but leaves for the last couple years, and this time I was happy I FINALLY got something. What was I doing wrong? I changed the soil in the area and added some fresh new stuff. I also gave it more room to breath (and did it ever… didn’t realize how big these get!)
So with my excitement of, just had to make a grilled zucchini on the BBQ.
Here is my stupid simple recipe for grilled zucchini.
- Cut zucchini on a slant, creating round pieces.
- Brush both sides of each piece with Olive oil.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper
- Grill on BBQ on low setting, ensuring an even coot (don’t burn)
- Eat… eat them all!
In an effort to eat healthier and not get stuck with awkward pizza pizza delivery moments, I have decided to start making my own pizza dough in my bread maker… gotta say it turned out pretty awesome.

Oh and here’s my latest creation ; )
Did you know you can extend the life of your store bought green onions? You can, and it’s easy!
Step 1: Buy green onions from your grocery store
Step 2: Once you have used your green onions make sure to cut them close to the bottom, while keeping the roots
Step 3: Put into a clear glass filled with water. You will notice after a week or so, they will start to grow back!
Step 4: Once you have got some good roots established, you are ready to plant in a container with soil.
And there you go! You will now have green onions for a very long time. Enjoy
